Helping Children Grow Through Music for 20 Years

Megan has spent two decades teaching music and performance within schools, conservatoriums, private music schools and at TAFE NSW. From a young age, Megan learnt the piano, guitar, vocal training and dance. From 14 – 17 years Megan started performing professionally within NSW and QLD.

She auditioned at Johnny Young Talent Time and gained acceptance into the Australian College of Entertainment as one of the youngest students to attend the college.

Megan won several battle of the bands and most outstanding performer award with original compositions and toured and performed in three countries.

On her return to Australia, after judging the female vocalist awards held in Byron Bay, Megan dedicated her time to teaching and mastering connection with her students via the arts at the Clarence Valley Conservatorium located on the North Coast. Whilst at the Conservatorium Megan implemented a contemporary syllabus for her students. Recognising a need to teach the style and genres of music her students were interested in. Megan’s philosophy is nurturing children to the arts and allowing the space for creativity.

Encouraging students to become self accompanying musicians has proven to be a favourable outcome for her students, whether they are learning for the love of music, using it as a disconnection or trying to overcome barriers within other areas of their life. Her skill set has students begin their musical journey in primary school whilst holding space through to their HSC.

Equipped with a performing arts degree and a degree in youth welfare, whilst also studying the nervous system in relation to the arts. Megan’s students are gaining confidence in all areas of life and schooling using music as a tool to disconnect and create growth as young individuals. Megan supports, empowers and enables promising outcomes.
