Music With Megan provides more than just teaching the gift of music; creating life skills through the teaching and performance of singing and guitar is a natural by-product of learning the art.
Willing students are encouraged and carefully supported in regular performance events held specifically for students. These performances create a comfortable environment to learn valuable entertainment skills.

About Megan
Here’s a quick summary of some of Megan’s achievements in her music and performance career:
- Started piano lessons at age 7.
- Started guitar lessons at age 8.
- Started Songwriting at age 13.
- Competed in battle of the bands NSW in Years 9 and 10 taking out 1st place both years.
- Competed in QLD high school battle of the bands with a cover song and an original song taking out “Most Outstanding Performer” award.
- At age 14 began playing in a musical duo alongside brother, also a guitarist and pianist, up and down the North Coast and QLD club and pub circuit as a weekend job.
- At age 15 sang a duo with Troy Cassar Daley.
- At age 16 auditioned at the Johnny Young Talent School in QLD for a place at the Australian College of Entertainment located in Parramatta, Sydney. After auditioning for a placement to major in Vocal whilst also studying Dance and Acting Megan was accepted as one of the youngest to ever attend the full-time college.
- Continued Guitar and Piano tuition at the college under the guidence of Michael Harvey, who was also Julie Anthony’s pianist.
- Among the teachers and guest teachers at the college were Darlene Zscheck, Rob Guest, Sarah Fogarty and Bob Tasman-Smith.
- Whilst at the college Megan was chosen to represent the school and toured the UK and Paris with fellow students Natalie Bassingthwaighte (lead vocalist in Rogue Traders’) and Amity Dry (performer on the TV series The Block).
- Whilst in the UK Megan had the honor to work and learn from some of the worlds greatest musicians and performers including Cleo Laine whom has been named the ‘grandmother of jazz’ which made a huge and lasting impression.
- Other students of the college in the junior section were Delta Goodrem and Bec Cartwright.
- Recorded at the Halaboo recording studio’s in Sydney.
- At age 19 attended the Australian Academy of Country Music in Tamworth, NSW where songwriting was a huge focus. Attended workshops with the likes of John Williamson, Slim Dusty, Gina Jeffery’s and Troy Cassar Daley.
- Performed in musical acts for 2 years on the Sydney circuit performing at various venues 5 nights a week.
- Returned to the Clarence Valley to teach contemporary vocal and guitar at the Clarence Valley Conservatorium for 2 years with a main focus on performance and stage presence.
- Judged the Female Vocalist/Songwriting section of the Dolphin awards held in Byron Bay NSW.
- Currently running Music With Megan based in Newcastle NSW.
